Musical Me

I have ALWAYS loved music. I'll be the first to admit that I don't really sing well, but that doesn't stop me (at least, when I'm alone or with good friends). My musical tastes range greatly - from classical to country, heavy metal to new age, soundtracks, kids' songs, and more. I love some of pretty much every type of music. My FAVORITE, though, is 80's pop rock. It's the music I grew up with. As for specifics...

My Favorite Musicians

  • Billy Joel. The Piano Man's written songs for every mood I'm in, and they all hit home. I have all but the few most recent of his CDs.
  • The Indigo Girls. Hometown favorites...they played at my church before they became nationally known. I own all of their CDs as well.
  • Kenny Loggins. His songs appeal to my sentimental side & I admire the strengths of his beliefs (I even agree with some of them). In my Kenny collection of cds you'll find:
    • Leap of Faith
    • Outside From The Redwoods
    • Return to Pooh Corner
    • Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow: The Greatest Hits
    • The Unimaginable Life
    • More Songs From Pooh Corner
    • December and
    • It's About Time
  • Amy Grant. I liked her Christian albums, and when she released "Heart In Motion," I was hooked. I have the following Amy cds:
    • The Collection
    • Heart in Motion
    • House of Love
    • Behind the Eyes
    • Legacy: Hymns and Faith
    • Simple Things
    • A Christmas Album
    • Home For Christmas
    • and
    • A Christmas To Remember
  • Hanson Those of you who know this group only for Mmmbop and/or think I am too old to like them need to check out their more recent work. The three brothers from Tulsa have grown up a lot, and they KNOW how to rock. Also, they have a real passion for music, and it shows! I have six of their cds at this point, but I'm sure there are many more to come.
    • Middle of Nowhere
    • Snowed In
    • Three Car Garage
    • This Time Around
    • Underneath Acoustic and
    • Underneath ...
  • Elton John My admiration of Sir Elton is due equally to his music and his activism (as well as his part-time Atlanta residency). Elton is definitely one-of-a-kind!
    • Greatest Hits
    • Greatest Hits 1976-1986
    • Love Songs
    • Something About The Way You Look Tonight (the single)
    • The Lion King
  • Bon Jovi. From their ballads that make me want to melt to their lively rocking songs, these guys are great! So far I have four of their albums (but plan on expanding this collection):
    • Crossroads
    • These Days
    • Crush
    • and
    • Bounce
  • My Favorite Radio Stations
